Tambo Teddies support Rockers for Knockers at the Sunshine Coast

Tambo Teddies recently donated a beautiful pink basil Tambo Teddy to the Rockers for Knockers Sunshine Coast marathon team raising money for cancer. The Rockers for Knockers team of over 200 participated in the 10km run at the Sunshine Coast Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation.

Former Tambo resident, Ruth D’Hennin, gathered the team together after her surviving her own battle with breast cancer.  A sea of pink shirts were to be seen along the 10 km course at Alexandra Headlands on Sunday August 30th . People travelled from all over to support Ruth and the Rockers team and raised a whopping $21,000 for a great cause.
The little pink teddy bear was raffled off and over $900 was made. One little girl, Olivia Ledwidge from Kings Beach at Caloundra absolutely fell in love with Rosclare Rockers and worked very hard selling tickets. Her hard work was rewarded ! The winner of the gorgeous pink teddy bear kindly gave it to Olivia after the raffle was drawn, Little Rosclare Rockers has certainly gone to a loving home.
