Are You Celebrating Valentine’s Day?

Do you and your loved ones celebrate Valentine’s Day? If so, just how do you do it?

We recently asked our followers to tell us how they were planning to spend Valentine’s Day to enter a competition to win a dusky pink Tom Thumb that was donated as a prize.

We were very impressed at the thoughtfulness of so many of the entrants and some people really are going all out and will be giving their partner a very special day.

Gwenda told us,

I will be having a lovely dinner with my husband and discussing our trip to Qld to visit family for the first time in 6 1/2 years. . Our trip will also include a trip the Tambo to purchase a Teddy for our beautiful Grandson.

While Dani has special memories of Valentine’s Day that she will be reliving with her parents.

I’ll be having lunch with my Mum and Dad at her nursing home, celebrating 31 years of living in Queensland. Yes, we moved on Valentine’s Day. I still remember the heart shaped chocolates we were given on the Qantas flight up here!

Tammy gave us a giggle with her plans! (That’s not our Tammy 😊)

I checked the calendar and it’s a Tuesday … so hubby of 25 & some years will be busy at work, so It’ll be a quiet day. Tho’ for giggles and to kick start the breeding season I will open the gate to let the ram in with the ewes, for him to do his thing’ !! Happy Valentine’s Day to my woolly ladies.

Alice and her husband will be marking a milestone.

Will be celebrating with my husband of 56 years with a special dinner and a glass of wine probably the day before as it is my birthday. Love Tambo Teddies.”

We do hope Tori’s plans come off:

Hopefully children will go to sleep early so we can enjoy a glass of wine and a choccie after”.

Sarah was also hopeful.

A nice quiet night in unless I get a surprise from my hubby.

While we might think this day is just another retail opportunity, Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day honouring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine. Today it is an annual festival to celebrate romantic love, friendship, and admiration. Every year on 14 February people celebrate this day by sending messages of love and affection to partners, family, and friends.

And what better way to share some love than cuddling a Tambo Teddy? Wherever you are or whatever you are doing this Valentine’s Day, we wish you a lovely day.
