Our sustainability journey begins with our core material: 100% Australian sheepskin. Sheepskin is a natural, renewable, and biodegradable resource that offers durability, softness, and warmth, the perfect foundation for our bears. By sourcing as much as we can from Australian suppliers, we not only support the local business community but also reduce the environmental impact of synthetic alternatives.

We’ve also taken proactive steps to reduce waste in our production process. Offcuts and smaller pieces of sheepskin are repurposed into smaller items and accessories, ensuring as little material as possible goes to waste. We love to give our off-cuts away to childcare centres, kindergartens and craft groups, if you need any just contact us.

In recent years, we’ve introduced the use of recycled plastic filling in our products, giving a second life to post-consumer plastics while maintaining the soft, huggable quality our bears are known for.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials. With manufacturing based in both Tambo and Toowoomba, we are proud to provide jobs in regional Queensland, supporting resilient communities and reducing the need for large-scale industrial production. Our local operations also allow for smaller batch runs, reducing overproduction and ensuring each
bear is made with intention.

We also prioritise ethical partnerships, fair working conditions, and thoughtful packaging practices. Wherever possible, we choose recyclable packaging materials and keep our product presentation simple and sustainable. The use of plastics in our business is kept to a minimum.
