Tambo supports the Bush Fire appeal

Tambo Teddies has joined forces with local businesses to support the Bush Fire appeal while encouraging visitors to town. The ‘Time Out in Tambo’ online raffle has an action packed two-day guided local adventure as the first prize.

An initiative of the Tambo Tourism and Business Association, President Taylor Smith said, ‘A quick ring around the local businesses and we had a great package together for the first prize.’ Accommodation, meals, a helicopter ride and a farm visit and tour, along with a bottomless cup of coffee in one of the group’s travel mugs have all been donated. ‘The generosity of our business owners is really heart-warming.’ Ms Smith added, ‘our region has not experienced the devastating fires but has been in drought for the past 6 years, so we thought we could offer up a package that will provide some support and relief and at the same time help promote our town.’

Second prize in the raffle is a one-of-a kind Fire-Fighter Tambo Teddy and the third prize is an iconic Tambo Teddy Koala. Ms Smith continued, ‘Tambo Teddies approached us with their raffle prizes, asking if we could do something a bit bigger and we put our heads together and chose the online platform, Rafflelink to set it up’. The Rafflelink platform provides a secure, legitimate space for the organisation to collect the funds and distribute a link online. ‘We chose an online platform to enable us to share the link widely and attract support from across the country.’

The raffle is being supported by 3 Rivers Helicopters, The Royal Carrangarra Hotel, Tambo Mill Motel & Caravan Park, Tambo Foodworks, Fanny Maes Café, Killarney Park Grazing Co, Cindy’s Coffee & Gifts, AP & TM Johnson & of course Tambo Teddies. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased singly or in a package of two, five or ten. Tickets are available online at https://www.rafflelink.com.au/tamboforbushfires
