It really is about time we introduced our wonderful team!

You would have heard the saying -‘it takes a village to raise a child’. Well, it takes a great team to create our wonderful Tambo Teddies ready to join your family.

In our Team Tambo we have three customer service people and one sewer. Meet our Tambo Team:

Trish Thomas is front line at Tambo Teddies, Trish works 4 days a week and is most often the voice on the end of the phone. Trish packs the orders, helps the customers choose the best bear, cuts-out, packs the shelves and……everything else! Trish says ‘My favourite part of working at Teddies is helping someone find that special bear when they are visiting’. Trish lives right next door to Teddies so only has a very short walk to work. On her days off, Trish enjoys spending time with her family, fishing and travelling.

Liz McCosker is our Tambo sewer, you can find her at her machine five days a week. Liz creates all the extra little products we make, Peter Possum, the echidnas, stubby coolers and seat belt covers. Liz also steps in and helps out the customer service team, and can be found selling bears, taking orders and stacking the shelves! Liz lives just out of town on a property where she enjoys helping to muster,  and breeding pedigree Labrador puppies. Occasionally, time -off is required to be on maternity duty as a new litter of pups arrives.

Wendy Keen has worked in customer service at Teddies on and off for the last four years. After a very brief attempt at sewing, Wendy stepped comfortably into the role of sales. Wendy helps us out over the busy winter tourist period. Wendy is usually absent over summer, when she jets off across the world to join an Ashram in India, Cambodia or somewhere similarly exotic. A skilled Yoga instructor, Wendy is always studying and delivering yoga classes for the community.

Julie Birchley has been helping us out since we took over the business. Julie did a bit of cutting out at home for a couple of years before coming into the store to pack orders. Our online sales have grown to a level where there are too many parcels to pack each morning for the sales staff to manage. Julie lives out of town on a property, has three children, two children away at boarding school and one attending Tambo State School.
