At Tambo Teddies, “Made Right Here” isn’t a marketing line, it’s our lived reality. So, when the Australian Made Campaign Ltd (AMCL) unveiled its largest-ever national initiative, ‘Made Right Here’, we felt an immediate sense of pride. This powerful new campaign encourages Australians to support local manufacturers, create jobs, and strengthen the economy by choosing Australian-made products, values we’ve stood by since day one.

Backed by a $20 million Australian Government grant, the Made Right Here campaign is designed to boost awareness, grow consumer confidence, and increase business participation in the Australian Made logo. For small manufacturers like us, this investment sends a strong and welcome message: Australian makers’ matter.

AMCL Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro says the campaign highlights the incredible breadth of Australian-made products across almost every category, something many of us take for granted. From food and fashion to construction materials and TEDDY BEARS, Australia produces quality products made to some of the world’s most stringent safety and quality standards.

At Tambo Teddies, every bear is individually handcrafted in Queensland, using Australian wool and local skills. When customers choose a product with the green-and-gold kangaroo, they’re not just choosing where something is made, they’re backing local businesses, home-grown ideas, and fellow Aussies. That ripple effect reaches far beyond our workshop, supporting families, communities, and regional towns like ours.

The Made Right Here campaign will run nationally until 30 June 2026 across television, radio, print, outdoor, digital, and social media. Its television advertisement brings the iconic kangaroo logo to life, bouncing through scenes of Australian industry and innovation, a reminder that buying local fuels jobs, creativity, and economic resilience.

This campaign also marks a special milestone: the 40th anniversary of the Australian Made logo. As AMCL Chair Kate Carnell AO noted, the logo remains Australia’s most trusted country-of-origin symbol, trusted by 93% of Australians. 2025 research undertaken by Roy Morgan shows that 87% of Australians say it’s important to buy Australian Made, and 79% are willing to pay a premium to do so.

For us, Made Right Here isn’t just a campaign, it’s a celebration of what Australian businesses do best. And we’re proud to be part of that story, stitched together with care, community, and unmistakable Aussie.
