The Tobies

The Tobies are where it all began — our very first bear family, launched in 1993! Known for their classic teddy bear shape, soft rounded faces, and gentle personalities, Toby Teddies are timeless cuddle companions. They’ve been loved for generations and remain one of our most popular styles. Sitting proudly in our Tambo store is the very first Toby ever made, affectionately named ‘Adam’ — the original bear who started it all.

The Basils

Basil Bears bring a little mischief and a lot of charm. With a slightly cheekier expression and a relaxed pose, and pointy nose, these bears are for those who love a laid-back friend by their side. From Small Basil to Big Basil, there’s a bear for every age and stage.

The Tom Thumbs

Tiny but full of character, the Tom Thumb bears are our miniature marvels! Perfect for baby gifts, souvenirs, or those who just adore something pocket-sized, Tom Thumbs pack all the quality of our larger bears into a palm-sized bundle of joy.

The Bickie Bears

Bickie Bears are small, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. They’re often spotted travelling with our customers or given as tokens of appreciation. Their compact size makes them perfect for corporate gifts or little keepsakes.

The Dusty Family

The Dusty family of bears brings a nostalgic charm to the Tambo Teddies collection. With fully jointed arms, legs, and heads, these traditional-style bears are perfect for collectors and lovers of classic teddy design. Each Dusty bear is handcrafted from premium Australian wool sheepskin and made with care in the Outback. Their timeless look, moveable limbs, and character-filled faces make them treasured keepsakes — a beautiful blend of heritage, craftsmanship, and cuddly charm.

The Stewart Family

Stewart Bear is our special Kiwi Cousin! Stewart Bear was lovingly created in the likeness of a treasured heirloom bear named ‘John’, cherished by the Stewart family in New Zealand. Crafted from soft, premium sheepskin, Stewart blends traditional charm with Tambo Teddies’ signature handcrafted quality. With his timeless look and cuddly feel, he’s a beautiful tribute to family history and a symbol of the strong bond between Aussie and Kiwi mates.

Goliath

Our Goliaths are our monster-sized teddies with a heart just as big! Standing 75cm tall in a semi-sitting pose, Goliath is crafted in the likeness of our beloved Basil family. Available in both short pelt and fluffy sheepskin, he’s the ultimate cuddle companion or statement piece. Handcrafted with love, Goliath is big, bold, and beautifully Aussie-made,  a true gentle giant!
