All the Basil and Toby Tambo Teddy Bears made in Tambo are given an individual name and unique identification number. Our bears are all named after local Tambo Properties alliterated with a Christian name. We do name some teddy bears after other properties, or with a selected name in response to special requests. On September 16th, 2017 teddy bears and teddy bear enthusiasts descended on Tambo to enjoy all the fun at the Tambo Teddy Bears Picnic. An annual event since 2011, the picnic is transitioning to a biennial activity with the next event being planned for 2019. A community affair, the picnic is held on the
Over the years there has been a series of limited editions created at Tambo Teddies; special bears of differing styles of which there were only 100 of each made. The limited editions were named after local pioneering families, some of the region’s earliest settlers, whose descendants still reside in Tambo today. We have one of each of the Limited Edition
